  • The Sequels that BOMBED

    explosion

I found this great image featuring the biggest bombing sequels of the past 25 years, and I thought You might like to see for yourself just how awful some of these movies were. I mean, I have never even heard of the existence of some of these titles, so you KNOW they must be terrible!

If you’ve seen any of these films, please share. I foresee a possible movie marathon with some of these titles just so we can rip them apart ourselves!

Enjoy. The image is courtesy of [moviefill.com]

  • A gust of August

Hello SquidFlicks! The infamous one-update months have come and should be going soon. Regular content is returning within the next few days, so be sure and come back! It’s been crazy here at HQ, with SquidFlicks 2.0 being developed, football practice, my new computer not working 100%, video editing (secret!), tons of AP work, and other projects are competing with time for me.

I am really excited to announce that SquidFlicks 2.0 will be ready for public release for the Third Second birthday of SquidFlicks! Mark it on your calendars! (It should go live sometime during October, so it may be an early present!)

Keep reading and we’ll keep reviewing!

  • Shelby Returns

I totally forgot to announce my return from my five week abscence! This is my official return post Squidflickians!

Upcoming in the next few days is the end of SquidFlicks Summer School – official announcement pending, currently classfied by the CDC.

Also under wraps is SquidFlicks 2.0, which hopefully will be live by SquidFlick’s birthday on October 31st!

Stay tuned! Regular reviews are coming back too!

  • Shelby’s Summer Movie List

I have had the opportunity to see some movies that I wouldn’t take the opportunity to see on my own during my five week stay at GSP. Full reviews or possibly a long video review will come as soon as possible. I am coming back soon!

    Intro:

Sometimes we see, hear, and feel things that are so bizarre, so frightening, that they must be from an alternate reality, a different dimension. Perhaps the stories of four otherwise ordinary people encountering these events in The Twilight Zone. You’ll meet an angry bigot, a cheerful old man, an unusual little boy who befriends a wayward teacher, and a very anxious flyer during your travel through the rift between shadow and light

  • Star Trek (2009)

    Intro:

The latest Star Trek film boldly goes where no one has gone before, and it pays off big time. What is quite possibly one of the most popular Sci-Fi franchises of all time received a series reboot with director J.J. Abrams at the helm. It also is a great way to start off a summer filled with blockbuster releases. Will it set phasers on fun? Let’s find out! =)

NOTE: I am not a Trekkie; I love Sci-Fi films and know basic Trek facts, but I am no expert on the subject. I am writing this review for those who want to see a movie that is both entertaining and different. (aka the layman’s review)

It ends up being a shallow victory when the mother ship arrives with a full invasion force. So the question stands: Who will win in the ultimate battle-monsters, or aliens?

You’ll have to watch to find out!
