    Even though we are sorry to say that HorrorHut won’t be your Christmas present this year (but it will be a great way to celebrate the new year!), I have some of the real gifts that you will be receiving – new features and updates to SquidFlicks! *roar from audience*

    I have been working pretty hard this past few days, and I am pleased to announce some of the features and updates that are already in place or are going to be put into place by January 1, 2008!

  • ‘I am Legend’ Breaks the December Bank

    SquidFlicks Box Office Hit 

    As you may or may not already know, Will Smith’s performance in the movie that SquidFlicks previously previewed, I am Legend, has broken the box office all-time high for December release weekends. Grossing well over 76.5 million dollars, it easily passed all other competition.

    It seems that our preview was pretty accurate – this looks like a great movie, and I want to see it so that we can share the review with others! =)

    P.S. This is the first in another new feature of SquidFlicks – Box Office Hits and Box Office Blunders!

  • Some Upcoming Reviews

    I have been bogged down lately with school and other projects, so I have not kept up with the reviews as I needed to have been. There are, however, several reviews that are still being written behind the scenes here…

    The list to come (hopefully) before the end of the month includes in no particular order:

  • Wayne’s World

    Wayne’s World

    Intro

    Mike Myers and Dana Carvey play as Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar, two young adults who run a public access cable show out of the basement of Wayne’s house, who still lives with his parents. The show is called Wayne’s World, and is very popular within their small town of Aurora, Illinois. They frequently visit the Gasworks, a rock and roll club, where Wayne meets the love of his life – rocker Cassandra. As he tries to impress here, the Wayne’s World TV show is bought out by a larger producer, he tries to manipulate it to his own selfish desires. Wayne, Garth, and the rest of the gang team up to get the show back, and continue to be free! Excellent!

    Intro

    Comedian Jerry Seinfeld is Barry Benson, a new worker bee who wants to be more than that – he wants to be a Pollen Jockey, which is one of the elite bees that get to leave the hive in search of bringing pollen back to the hive. When he does, he discovers a whole new world outside the hive, and makes both friends and enemies in the process. In the end, he helps to teach all of us how important all creatures are for the survival of the Earth.

    SquidFlicks would like to wish all of our readers and subscribers a happy Thanksgiving holiday. Most of you probably are off from work or out of school for today through Friday, and we here at SquidFlicks want you to have a great one!

    Who knows, you might even go to see a movie! And where would you go to find out if it’s good or not? 😉

    Based on the best-selling novel I Am Legend by Richard Matheson, IAL is a story about how one man takes on adversity to try and reverse the destruction caused by a deadly man-made virus.

    You will still have to enter your name and email for security purposes, and some comments may not appear instantly due to our comment spam filter. All held comments will be reviewed personally before they are posted so that we can thwart spam as best as possible!

    Now don’t get me wrong, I would love for you to join the blog, but I understand you may not want to mess with it.     An inter-dimensional tear causes monsters from another world to terrorize the land in The Mist. If you don’t already know, this is the movie based of on the book written by Stephen King. As the monsters cause mass confusion and terror, a small group of people take shelter inside of a store. They must conquer both the monsters inside and outside of the store if they are to survive!
