  • SquidFit: Get ripped in 3 weeks

Squid Fitness is proud to announce its first weight training line – the Robert Downey Jr.’s Practical Pecs System. This state of the art fitness routine was developed in preparation of filming Iron Man 2, which recently came out in theaters across the world.

In a period of three weeks, Mr. Downey was able to put on 20 lbs of muscle with this amazing workout! Who wouldn’t want to do that?

According to his personal trainer, Downey pushed a heavy wheelbarrow around an obstacle course, swung sledgehammers, sand-filled firehoses, and more. It was a cost-effective and natural alternative to traditional weight training, and it had rapid success for Downey, who needed to buff up for his return in Iron Man 2.

I say well played sir. That’s a pretty dang sweet routine to get results like that in just three weeks. Who knows how big you could get if you worked out for a longer period of time? I say pretty big.

So…who’s ready to hit the weights?

As you all know, last year’s resolutions for SquidFlicks didn’t exactly live up to expectations, but a new year means new progress! I have taken a step towards completing this year’s resolutions by doing a Resolution Check every two months. Here’s the one for January through February!

  • Avatar is in the money!

James Cameron’s Avatar is now the number one highest grossing international release, surpassing the 1.8 billion dollar record that James Cameron’s previous film, Titanic, set.

This is an incredible feat, and it is even more amazing that both of the films had the same director. Patrick made the comment that Cameron could retire now, and his family would probably never have to work again for at least 3 generations!

While that may be possible, I don’t think Mr. Cameron should stop any time soon. If anything, I’ll bet he’s already got another project underway as I write this.

I think that it is safe to say that James Cameron has set a film precedent that will be very difficult for anyone else to reach. Avatar remains the number one film for the sixth week in a row, once again shadowing a myriad of new releases. I don’t care who you are, because that’s freakin’ impressive. End of story.

Congrats, Mr. Cameron, your success is well-earned. I personally enjoy quality over quantity, and I think you subscribe to the same school of thought.

  • WHOA! SquidFlicks 3.0?

Hello everyone. You remember all those times I said a new SquidFlicks was coming? Well finally, after months of designing and redesigning, I have finally made my final choice, and with some new-found freetime late on this Friday night, (now technically) Saturday morning, I decided to get to work.

There are still some minor things to tweak here and there, but it works, and that’s the most important thing here. Sorry for all that delay, SquidFlickians – Shelby does deliver!

This was also one of my resolutions, so boo-yah! 🙂
