    Intro:

When you live the white collar life, any chance you get to move up a step on the ladder is a moment you HAVE to take. Key moments like taking a promotion, taking on another task, or ANY offerings from your boss, especially the CEO of the company. When you reach this almost Nirvana state of feeling, you have to remember to make right decisions. If said boss wants you to take up a new account, handle an existing account, or even invites you to his condo YOU TAKE IT. Like the guys in the 1989 release of Ted Kotcheff’s “Weekend at Bernie’s.” (more…)

  • The Fourth Kind

    Intro:

Millions have reported seeing strange and unusual things in the sky. Most can be debunked as being a satellite or a weather balloon; However, there are those cases where things cannot be explained with ease. Then what comes to mind is UFO. We all know, of course, that having contact with an UFO is classfied as a Close Encounter of the Third Kind. Now there is a step beyond that of the Third Kind, one which no one ever wants to face. that being the title of the film being reviewed today, Olatunde Osunsanmi’s “The Fourth Kind.”

  • Paranormal Activity

We’ve all heard ghost stories before. Whether it’s while sitting around the campfire, other people’s experiences, or even your own experiences. But When it comes to Demons…that’s another story.

I am a very STRONG believer in ghosts, Poltergeists and pretty much any kind of paranormal activities (movie title placement ftw). So naturally seeing the title “Paranormal activity” i thought, “WIN”. The problem is I didn’t know anything about the movie. Here it is October 24th and i have only known about the movie for literally 3 days. I did some background checking for the movie, Learned it was a mockumentary, Learned about the Demand it “game” i guess you can say, and notice this movie has gained ALOT of hype since it came out in 12 select cities back in September. Some mixed reviews kind of threw me off, but i thought, “Screw it, I’m going to go see it, skip the hype and reviews.” Boy, am I glad i did.

This is a guest review submitted by Ryan Hartley. Thanks Ryan!

“What do you do with the mad that you feel?
When you feel so mad you could bite.
When the whole wide world seems oh so wrong, and nothing you do seems very right.”
    – Fred Rogers

It’s okay for kids to have emotions.  They don’t know how to control them and there will be times when they get out of hand.  And while it’s a parent’s instinct to protect their child from harm, to protect them from their own emotions is a tragedy.

  • Saw 6

    Intro:

For ages and ages men have loved to solve challenging mysteries. Making connections and getting the whole picture is an awesome thing to experience. Relating situations together to uncover the real truth or to reveal the chronological order of events. This is EXACTLY what you have to do in order to understand the somewhat complex plot of the 2009 release of Kevin Greutert’s “Saw 6.” (more…)

  • Wall-E

    wall-e-poster

    Intro:

Imagine a planet filled with garbage and devoid of life – it is unfortunately the reality of the planet Earth in Wall-E. Left by the humans decades prior due to the their own destruction of the planet, it was up to Buy in Large’s robot garbage collectors to clean up the mess. The human race floats through space on an intergalatic space cruse while the planet repairs itself. Sounds like a good idea right? Unfortunately, most of the bots, with the exception of Wall-E, are now defunct and the world remains a gigantic wasteland.

  • Barstool Cowboy

    Intro:

Sometimes, when life’s got you down, it’s good to have a local bar to drown your sorrows in. In the case of Mick, it’s the recent loss of a girl that has him in the local watering hole. He vows to not move from his barstool for three months, but then he meets an artsy college student who steals his heart. Will it be a love found, or will Mick return to his spot in the bar? You’ll have to watch to find out!

  • Halloween 2 (2009)

    halloween_2_pumpkin_poster

    Intro:
When you hear the name "Myers" two logical names come to mind. Mike Myers, famed actor who has appeared in countless comedy classics, and Michael Myers famed killer who has spread his fear in the hearts of numerous horror fans for over thirty years now. I’m beginning to feel however that his reign of terror could come to a halting end if we get another "Halloween" film like the 2009 release of Rob Zombie’s "Halloween 2."

  • Tales from the Darkside: The Movie

    tales_from_the_darkside_the_movie

    Intro:

Whenever a person is taken hostage, the best thing they can do is buy time. Some how distract the kidnapper so that you have more time for a possible rescue or escape to take place. One of the best ways in doing this is with stories. Telling stories that attract the attention of the person will (hopefully) gain their attention and give you an opportunity to escape, like the daring kid in the 1990 release of John Harrison’s “Tales from the Darkside: The Movie.”
