  • Lost Returns for Season 5

    After the debacle caused by last year’s writer’s strike, ABC’s hit show Lost will commence its fifth season on January 21, 2009 with a three-hour premiere consisting of a clip-show and two back-to-back new episodes.

    The series was originally planned to end during the 2009-2010 season. Beginning with the 2007–2008 television season, the final 48 episodes would have been aired as three seasons with 16 episodes each, with Lost concluding in its sixth season. Due to the writers strike, the fourth season featured 14 episodes, and seasons five and six will have 17 episodes each.

    I have loosely followed the show since its start, and have enjoyed it. It seems to be pretty deep, and you have to watch an episode several times to get all the information in it. I know several people (especially my parents) who have eagerly awaited the new season. I have no doubt that the events in the next two seasons will be more entralling than the previous four seasons!

  • The Office returns for Season 5

    Hit comedy series, The Office, starring Steve Carell, is going to be coming back to NBC on September 25 for another hilarious season, which is the shows fifth. Just last year, during the massive Hollywood Writer’s Strike, the forth season of The Office was cut from 25 episodes to just 14. However, the entire company really worked hard to make those 14 episodes really great, and finished the season out with some awesome (and wacky) cliffhangers for the next season to answer.

    Hope you’re ready – I have had this date on my calendar for some time now! (You should know that since it is obvious that I love this show! 🙂 )

  • Comedy returns after long break

    As you all know, the Hollywood writers’ strike affected many shows that were both on the air and yet to come. Probably the hardest hit was NBC, but a prime example of a hit show from ABC that had its future season cut short was Lost; only 8 of the original 16 planned episodes were completed for this season.

    Other shows, like The Office, had their new season premieres delayed by several weeks. This is a very positive post, however, because a smattering of NBC comedies are returning on April 10! I personally can’t wait because my favorite TV show, which is The Office, will be returning with a brand new season!
