  • Burn After Reading

    Intro:

I first heard about Burn After Reading via a commercial for the DVD. I couldn’t believed I had missed this film in theaters. Two of my favorite actors, George Clooney and Brad Pitt, star in this spy comedy that will surely have you laughing on the floor.

    Intro:

Adam Sandler is funny. Granted, we all know this, and I’m sure most people have seen at least one of his movies. Bedtime Stories, however, is a bit different from his other films, in that it’s a children’s movie. It’s also Sandler’s first movie with Walt Disney Co.

  • Fox won’t renew ‘King of the Hill’

    king-of-the-hill

After 13 seasons, long time comedy ‘King of the Hill’. written by Greg Daniels and Mike Judge, will not air another season for FOX.

This is very disappointing to me. I have been a fan for the series for almost 5 years now, and I watch it whenever it’s on. It just goes to show how much power the production company has – to axe a popular comedy with hardly any hint of doing so beforehand made this news shocking to many. Looks to me like Fox wants to get the old shows out of the way so some new (and very likely to fail) shows can take their places.

But Greg Daniels and Mike Judge are working on bigger and better things, and had been for some time now. Daniels works with The Office, which is a great comedy and a VERY popular show at this time. Judge is also working on a new animated series of his own, The Goode Family, and will premiere on ABC.

There have been 13 final episodes purchased by Fox, and they will be shown in the 2009-2010 season.

Perhaps Fox will reconsider the decision, but that’s really unlikely. but I guess we’ll have to just wait and see.

  • 20 Classic Films Recreated in LEGO

Here’s a new take on some older movies – using Lego bricks as the actors and set! Some of the movies I wouldn’t consider ‘classics’ by any means, but the comparison between the movie photo and the Lego recreation is pretty sweet.

Maybe movie sequels should start being done with Legos – they don’t have unions or fight for new contracts every year! =P

My favorite? Creepshow. Didn’t expect that to be in the 20 movies highlighted! =)

  • The Office returns for Season 5

Hit comedy series, The Office, starring Steve Carell, is going to be coming back to NBC on September 25 for another hilarious season, which is the shows fifth. Just last year, during the massive Hollywood Writer’s Strike, the forth season of The Office was cut from 25 episodes to just 14. However, the entire company really worked hard to make those 14 episodes really great, and finished the season out with some awesome (and wacky) cliffhangers for the next season to answer.

Hope you’re ready – I have had this date on my calendar for some time now! (You should know that since it is obvious that I love this show! 🙂 )

I even found an awesome web site that has an interactive countdown until the premiere:
