Funniest Films of the past 25 years (aka since 1983)

Entertainment Weekly recently published their list of the 25 funniest movies of the past 25 years. While the list was decent as a whole, I think that there are many more deserving titles that didn’t get mentioned.

Note that this is a list of the funniest movies in the past 25 years, so any movie made before 1983 does not apply! For Example: Caddyshack, The Jerk, etc.

I also took it upon myself to label some of the movies that I thought were good picks for the top 25 list.

Here’s the list:

7. “There’s Something About Mary” (1998) – CLASSIC
8. “The Big Lebowski” (1998)
9. “A Fish Called Wanda” (1988)
10. “Dazed and Confused” (1993)
11. “The 40 Year Old Virgin” (2005) – No comments needed! 😉
12. “When Harry Met Sally…” (1989)
13. “Waiting for Guffman” (1996)
14. “Wedding Crashers” (2005)
15. “Trading Places” (1983)
16. “Superbad” (2007)
17. “Tropic Thunder” (2008) – I want to see this movie!
18. “Napoleon Dynamite” (2004) – Definitely a top 25 pick
19. “Clueless” (1995)
20. “Best in Show” (2000)

22. “Old School” (2003) – “Dude, you just took a shot right to the jugular!”
